Designing a development and producing drawings to accompany a planning application is the most expensive part of the planning process. This can run into thousands of pounds. However, drawings are often produced by non-planning professionals. Sometimes, they do not take into account change of use issues, the effect of any land use designations, planning policies or the impact of the development on parking, living conditions, trees and designated heritage assets.
